HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT OF USING...
MUSTARD AS A BREADING BINDER
Sometimes you want to do something different. Other times, you need to do something different. Mustard is a great product to use on beef, chicken, pork and even fish. Brush on Dijon, yellow or whole grain mustard, and let's face it, we all have about 3 or 4 bottles in the fridge door! It adds a TON of flavor and moisture, and it's a tasty option for dairy-free meals as a substitute for buttermilk. Make sure the protein is seasoned well and dry as a bone before brushing on the mustard otherwise it won't stick when you cook it. Be gentle with your spatula and gradually sear on medium heat. Prepare a sheet pan to finish cooking in the oven once you get that GBD (golden brown delicious) goodness. Crushed nuts like walnuts and pecans, or almond flour work really well for gluten-free meals and is super tasty for everyone, unless your allergic to nuts!
