In his own words.
I was originally going to school for commercial art and photography when I found myself cooking more than taking photos and studying. It was at that time that I decided to make the switch to culinary arts. I moved from Wisconsin down to Florida and began my degree but soon realized I was getting better experience being in the kitchen rather than in the classroom. This lead me back to Wisconsin where I obtained my first chef position at a local resort.
After working at the resort for a few years, I moved onto a small boutique hotel where I quickly rose to the sous chef position and eventually was promoted to executive chef. After relocating to Milwaukee, I started working for The Ambassador Hotel and once again quickly climbed the ladder to executive chef. While working at The Ambassador, a friend of mine recommended the idea of becoming a personal chef and after some research I found Friend That Cooks and the rest is history. In May, my wife and I decided to move to Dallas, TX where FTC recently started offering service.
In my spare time, my wife and I enjoy traveling (usually to anywhere warmer than Wisconsin), spending time with our dog, and getting to know our new city.
